About Kung Fu Connection
The History of Kung Fu Connection
By and large, the history of Master Roberto Baptista’s Kung Fu Connection is notably quite interesting!
Master Gus Rubio launched Kung Fu Connection in the late 1980s solely to teach authentic Chinese Martial Arts. North Miami, Florida, was our original home.
In 2016, he reached out to Roberto Baptista, the disciple of Grandmaster Chan Kwok Wai in Brazil.
Consequently, Master Rubio soon invited him to come to the United States and join Kung Fu Connection as its Program Director.
The Kung Fu masters here have extensive experience in Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, etc.). All in all, you have a wealth of knowledge in a truly fun, friendly, and supportive environment.

Kung Fu Connection is a lifetime member of the USAWKF or United States of America Wushu Kung Fu Federation. The USAWKF is the only organization recognized by the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) that governs Kung Fu & Wushu in all its forms in the United States.
Whether it’s Kung Fu for Adults, Kids Martial Arts, Tai Chi, Qigong, or any of our other programs, Kung Fu Connection strives to be the best option for those interested in learning Chinese Kung Fu.
We look to preserve authentic Chinese Martial Arts, known as Kung Fu, for future generations. Because in so doing, we help our martial art students get the best that the traditional Chinese martial arts, or Kung Fu, can offer.
Students will strengthen their minds and body, helping them improve their overall wellness and health. We teach high levels of self-defense and help students develop a goal-oriented mindset.
We do this so that our martial arts students excel in all their life endeavors and improve our community! Get a more in-depth picture by checking out what our students say in their reviews.
The history of Kung Fu Connection may very well be worthy of note, but our future is of utmost importance.
We are committed to teaching the traditional values of “Wu De,” or Martial Ethics (gratitude, respect, integrity, loyalty, among others) to our students, creating leaders that will build a better future for all.
Preserving Authentic Traditional Kung Fu
At Kung Fu Connection we are committed to teaching our students the correct and traditional way to learn and embrace the disciplined practice of traditional Chinese Martial arts.
We are proud of our Chinese martial arts lineage, which spans over 1,500 years. It includes a wide range knowledge of authentic traditional Chinese martial arts.
Expanding Our Martial Arts Programs
We’ve recently teamed up with the fine folks over at the American Dragon Martial Arts Academy. Their excellent teachers join us at Kung Fu Connection to offer their martial arts programs in Jeet Kune Do, Kali, and more.
